Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam is an Associate Professor of Finance and a Fellow at Economic and Financial Policy Institute in Universiti Utara Malaysia. He is also an Associate Fellow at University Technology MARA, Malaysia. He was a research fellow under the Adaptation Finance Fellowship Programme (AFFP) of Frankfurt School (Germany) and the Thailand Development Research Institute (Thailand). He is a certified Financial Planner and certified expert in Climate Adaptation Finance. He has more than 300 publications including seven books and more than 150 journal articles. He has experience as an editorial board member of 10 international journals and a reviewer of more than 50 journals. He has more than 700,000 readers in different online repository platforms that positioned him among the top 1% most-read academic author around the world. He has received several awards from Elsevier, Emerald, Willy, and Publons. He has also been recognized as one of the “Top Bangladesh Development Researchers of the Millennium” by the BDRC, USA. His research areas include financial markets, financial economics, Islamic finance and economics, sustainable finance, and sustainable development.
